The measurements on the HF10 on 40 are around 3:3:1 so outside the range of an internal tuner.

i was given one on this forum for gb2 hcc and it works well with the ldg tuner on the 7300, since then i have made my own that i use at home and have a spare brand new one under the bench, cracking wee antenna that’s great for confined / restricted space stations,
the one at the castle was taken down for filming and i fear was taken by mistake buy the film crew as part of their gear, so i will most likely not put one back up,
i use rg213 on both the one at home and the one on the castle with no issues and think for what they are they are ok,i found the one at the castle worked best as it was at about 45 feet in a traight line rather than inverted V, the one at home is in an inverted v but rather steep angled but it works well enough or me to keep it up,
try a wheel ldg tuner if the antenna is outside the peramiters of the internal tuner,
bob.
