Post Anodised aluminium for aerials?
I have been searching for some small diameter aluminium tube to make a couple of lightweight, portable beams. Most of the stuff I have found comes in short lengths, but one or two of the big DIY chains does stock some 4mm tube that is anodised.
Will the anodising affect the aerial in any way?
I can't recall any commercial aerials that are anodised, which considering the environment they are often used in is puzzling.

Anodising does no conduct as well as bare aluminium.

There is no need to anodise good grade aluminium used on an antenna, most good graded offer excellent corrosion resistance.
If corrosion could be a problem products like Tectyl provide a long lasting solution, as used to be used on some aircraft.
