70MHz Cumulatives # 2

Sunday 14th March 1000 - 1200

Despite the poor conditions last month there was a reasonable turnout from around the country.

Hopefully the conditions will be better this time, there is some activity shown on Hepburn :) , and advantage can be taken of the new countries that are active.

Cheers

Tony

Cheers.

William Hepburn has a 6 day tropo ducting forecasting site.

http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo_nwe.html for North West Europe.

Lots of interesting info from the home page.

The possibility for ways of similarly forecasting ES were discussed at the RSGB Convention.

Now that would be interesting. :)

Cheers

Tony

Do you use ON4KST Laurie?

http://www.on4kst.info

The best way of keeping track of what is happening on 50MHz and above.

Cheers

I'm a bit puzzled about the ON4KST site - it doesn't seem to show anything more recent than June 2009.

Have you registered on the site Laurie?

It can be a little confusing to start with as there is so much info and so many facilities.

The "last updated 26th July 2009" relates to the home page.

The chats run in real time.

If you have a problem give me a call on 07720 441395, if I'm not on the radio, and I'll try and help.

Cheers

Tony

Flat conditions with deep QSB again!

It seemed to be quiet but I worked more stations than last time and also heard a few I didn't manage a QSO with so who knows?

I put a couple of calls out on .450 to no avail.

28 QSOs spread over a fair bit of the country in 13 locators.

Best was GM0USI/P at 336km.

Unfortunately no DX. :(

I did listen on 69.950 but nothing heard this far over.

Cheers

Tony
