Im trying to stir a little interest on 2 meters with a little help from M3CPY, we are giving HF a break to put more effort into VHF .
So we plan to be active on 144.330 + or - usb most days and nights, we are interested in working into G / GW / GM / GI / anywhere in the UK and southern Ireland would be cool , so if you ever hear us , please give us a call .

we are based in the west Midlands IO82

Cheers Dazza

I can point in your direction but it is a short distance from Reading so probably not worth it.

I monitor 144.300 when in the shack, but mast is down most of the time until after dark or condo good, I've had a natter or two with M3CPY from up here in Stockport on 144.450 last week, & luckily beam is always parked in that rough direction so will listen out for some activity, mainly active between 7- 10.30 pm so spin the beam up this way & give me a call, will be monitoring from tea time onwards tonight & if not windy will wind up mast later, hope to make contact, I,ll put a few calls out at around 7pm, 73 de Tony M0ATV

I assume that's a typo for 145.450!

Usually monitoring 144.300, 144.370 or PI7CIs here.
Time depends on work. but can be any time between 0800 and 0200.
I also do frequent tropo checks with DL6YBF.

I usually monitor 4M, at the same time, 70.200 and the rest of the band on SDR.

Other bands depending on what's going on.

Cheers

Tony

Yes was nice to speak to you & lee Darren, condx were quite good, you peaked 5/7 at one time, Lee was up to 9+10 at one stage using his 13 element Cushcraft, good stuff.

Post Re: 144.330 usb
Been quite a few around, on 2m, tonight.
Saw a group of you pop up on .330 on the scope, G0WCK about 58, M0ATV the same, on the beam heading I was on.
Conditions are pretty poor with PI7CIS only about S2, via tropo, and a distinct lack of rocks.
SM7FWZ was a quick MS contact but most of the other stations are difficult to get anything off, let alone a QSO.
John G4SWX, from the South East, seems to be getting a better angle on what's there, as he's managed YO3FAI.
9A9L is proving hard work but, hopefully, oh! there's the confirmation. :D

Ian G0UWK, is incredibly strong here, even off the back of his beam.
Hardly surprising, at 55km, but makes you jump when you tune through him.

Still fairly active but have early start tomorrow so just trying with E77AR then time for shuteye.

Cheers

Tony

Did you work him?
Very short pings last night, UR5BFX was the best in KN29 @ 1960km even his 4 x 10 and qro only made 3 pings here in about 40 mins but we made it.
E77AR however was in during most periods.
I think most of the meteors were south east as I heard UR5 when beaming 120deg even though the direct path was 90.

DXCC count is now upto 42 since August but I guess I'm running out of time for the full 50 this year.

Yes, and no. :D
Reports, both ways, but not completed to our satisfaction, so left until today as I had an early start this morning.
Not bad though, for 150W, and a 12ele. :D

Poor conditions but there seemed to be many on.
Tropo poor.
PI7CIS only S2!
Up on 23cm the Martlesham beacon was just on the noise.
Very unusual!

42 DXCC! Very nice. :D

Cheers

Tony
