Post Morse code on the Specsavers advert
Has anyone else notice it? I was typing away on the computer when the Specsavers advert came on and subconsciously I was reading the Morse, as far as I could determine it reads RUGRE DK, pretty meaningless, but it is real Morse.

It sounds like Morse, but it's gibberish, I'll listen to the whole track later because although being an 'ol git I do like them :good:

Here's one for you, morse pickers.

Roger Waters, The Tide is Turning.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvTvWJWeQ2g

The dit-dah ratio is a bit odd, but it's actual morse.

Not arf....

That one has been known for quite a few years Chris. I have tried to follow the Morse, but there's too much QRM from the singing :D

I can read about half of it. It's just the title of the song and some snippets from the lyrics. It's easier right at the end where it 'fades to morse'.

think thats bobbins too , could only make out IS TAU and i think that was just coincidence , i think its just a tune using whatever instrument made to sound similar to morse , it doesn't seem to have dots and dashes as such but just using a rythm like code..

Try again Billy. Just think RSARS ... RSARS ... itsarmyspacingyousee :-)

If anybody has the album, I think the morse crops up a few times on other tracks, and it's easier ... less buried in the mix.

Try the bit at the end with the coal miners, that's pretty readable in a Royal Signals way :-)

Post Re: Morse code on the Specsavers advert
well i will just go out and slag a big dude off so he beats me round the head thus rendering my brain pretty much scrambled , i will then of course enter the shack with a feeling of drunken giddyness and hopefully i will be in the zone to listen to the signals way of the brass :)

not sure about American and international morse we should learn good and crap , that way we could get through most qso's :)

Don't fret Billy, they just get 'RST 199 199 sri nil cpi 73 de G6CSL VA dit-dit' from me too.

I'm not a perfectionist, and I can read some kinky fists, but there really is some total crap out there :-)
