Evening all, I am about to start fitting and using a Create LogPer 50-23cms as a compromise to lessen the impact of multiple antennas at the home QTH. Are there any users that can offer advice on height/positioning/feeder/dividing signals etc or any other advice "except" don't do it Much appreciated in advance. John G7ANQ

Re: Log Periodic
I've got a bit of a soft spot for Log Periodics having used them commercially.
Usual things: get it as high as possible, clear of obstructions, fed with the best coax you can. I think the gain figures are optimistic (10-12dBi), maybe on the higher bands, but it should work well. They are a very good compromise if you want a broad frequency range.
Thanks lads for the observations. Fortunately I am aware of most of the shortcomings of LogPers but I have to make compromises from the home QTH as we don't have an over friendly council. Also now have a problem that we have a number of new houses that have "arrived" too close for comfort. I now have to decide what to do with a largish collection of contest antennas that I have made over the years, sadly memories of distant dx are gone. Thanks again John G7ANQ
