Post 2m and 70cm Crossed Yagi Question
Hi everyone he's a question i have often wondered.

I have crossed yagi antenna's. A 4 element Tonna for 2m , a 10 element Jaybeam for 70cm.

Ok the question is would it be ok to connect the horizontal section to one transceiver for SSB.

The vertical leg connected to another transceiver for fm work.

Will this interact with each other and ie blow the transceivers.

Whats are peoples thoughts on this one i would be interested.

I'd measure the isolation, before trying that but I suspect it would be OK.
I run 100W, on 2M (12 ele), with 70W, on 70 cm (26 ele), both horizontal about a metre apart.

Remember you would need an insulated mast.

Which particular antenna is it?

Cheers

Tony

I think the question was pointing toward using the same, crossed, antenna for both V and H, using 2 separate transceivers, on the SAME band.

I'd have said no, the filters needed to do it would need to be VERY good!
