Post GB3VHF
I have just heard from the beacon keeper that GB3VHF is very close to being back on the air, just in time for the sporadic e season...

Its hoped that it should be switched on this week.

The beacon is fully supported by donations, not the RSGB and although I know some of you have already donated we are still around £250 short of what is required. If anyone can afford a few quid there is a Paypal facility on the web site www,gb3vhf.co.uk

Thanks a lot

I wonder what the new location is? Will it be a better or worse signal in these parts or indeed, in others? If it's usable here, then I will be happy to cough up, but Paypal is no good to me. I would suggest an address and payee could be published on this forum or in RadCom for postal donations.

Laurie, it is expected that the coverage will be much the same as the old site. Its actual location is the village of Fairseat about 2 miles (RF wise) from the old one.
Chris Whitmarsh G4FDZ QTHR will be more than pleased to accept a cheque I am sure
Thanks for your support
