I've been more than happy with my ANAN 100D which I've recently upgraded to the latest FW to support gigabit connectivity and Thetis, but the new 8000 certainly looks very interesting - but can't really justify having the 100D and 8000 in the shack.

Which begs the question, do I sell the 100D and upgrade or stick with the 100D ?

Always a little wary of being a 'first adopter' / guinea pig but Apache labs seem to know what they're doing.

G8GIW licensed in 1972 (C&G RAE), then G4WIM in 1984 (12 wpm CW test), then KT6UK in 2000 (USA Extra Class), now safely back in the UK and retired early (Google bought the company I was working for !)

Patience is a virtue with new products unless you are the kind of guy who must be the first to have everything. Let someone else iron out the bugs and lose their hair :) But it certainly seems to be a nice rig! I am into LF at the moment and the best reports I get from the US on 136kHz are from a chap (N1BUG) with a £20 Softrock modded for LF on the end of a Beveridge designed for other frequencies and running in a none optimal direction.... Other stations with some really expensive gear and dedicated LF aerials rarely hear me. It's a funny old hobby!
