Post RTL - SDR receiver usb dongle.. Antennas?
I have one of the above SDR receivers, and am wondering what antennas people use for them?? I did try it it on the co-linear once but i think it swamped it so i got nowt, BUT that could have been the software i was running (mobile phone based) I am now running SDR sharp, and am getting some weak signals off some stations, so im happy that its working, but need a better antenna!!

cheers

depends what bands you are wanting to rx mate, if i rx vhf/uhf i connect my colinear but if hf either a diy amplified loop antenna or long wire or if using adsb i use a diy slimjim cut for 1090mhz

performance will be inline with what ever antenna you opt to use for a given band
