Post Dedicated SDR PC
I was thinking of making a dedicated SDR PC, using the Elad SDR I already have, a 12v monitor and micro PC.
The monitor is pretty easy, something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0784RPSSR which is aluminum cased, HDMI with sound. Attached to the back would be the SDR and a micro PC.
The micro PC is whats giving me thought. Has to be 12v, and enough oomph to run the sdr software.
I found this, https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074FPRX82 which is 12v, aluminum case again, and auto boot when powered.
What concerns is the Atom processor - no idea about it but sounds pretty budget.
Anyone can comment on them? I've tried the above idea before using a Rasp Pi3, but that was a failure as even the linux version of HDSDR (lightweight install) was too much for it.

Post Re: Dedicated SDR PC
I have a similar fanless computer to the Beelink and it is an excellent computer. However one thing to beware of is that the version of Windows may be either old or not properly activated. Had loads of trouble with getting Windows to work when it first arrived but a 'proper' install soon fixed that. Mine is actually a Core I5 CPU 2nd Gen and it happily runs my Flex 6600 and other stuff at the same time. Power supply is 12 volts consumption is 1 amp and it barely gets warm. I think I paid about $230.00 delivered from AliExpress.

It's made by a company called Hystou but there are lots of them about at similar prices.

Hope that helps.

Tim
