Hi have a Bendix 634N 50ohm load , had it sitting in the shed for a long time and it leaked oil ? , can not see why it would leak it is not rusty or been bad used. Anyone serviced theirs ? , does the N connector unscrew ? and how would you check where it leaked and how to top it
, up and the best type of oil to use ?.

Any help would be great ,

Transformer oil is what normally is used. Just googled it & several places come up, including one in Wombourne that looks OK.
If it's an old unit, be carefull as the old oils contained PCBs which are highly toxic & an bugger to dispose of legally.

Thanks , but i do not know if there is any oil left in it , like i say has been sitting a long time , and when i dug it out i saw the oily puddle ?. and it is a lot lighter than i remember it to be. and this is why i want to try and service it.

Found a few on the internet but no ideas on how to dismantle ?, so may just give the n connector a twist to see if it will loosen ?. but would like to know for sure before damaging anything.

There is one for sale in the states on ebay. Looking at the photos there is a plug removed from the back end. Possible do damage if you try undoing the connection. Do not overfill with oil.
