Post microphone wiring help
i have borrowed a HEIL PR-10 microphone it has a lead on it that goes to an 8 pin round microphone plug i also have an 8 pin round to 8 pin modular rj45 ( for an icom 7100 radio ) and a ptt switch also ,

when plugged in ( all correctly ) there is no ptt on the radio when the switch is pressed
after testing the switch is fine the wiring of the microphone plug is the fault ,
i dont unfortunately know what radio the mic was wire for so the most info i can give is pin 2 and pin 8 are currently the ptt and i believe pin 2 and pin 3 are the ptt on the 7100 what i need is a wiring diagram or someone who knows wiring of microphones better that me who can point me in the right direction please ,

im only borrowing this microphone for tests etc before i fully invest in a similar style mic

cheers in advance

ps i can take an post pics of the plug , wires , leads etc on request cheers

Post Re: microphone wiring help
Pins 2 & 8 for PTT is Kenwood wiring. 1 is audio and 7 audio ground.

However, how do you know what the wiring is in the adaptor doodab?
