Post Linear switching
I had a rig last week that would not switch a linear, usual story, linear relay needed more current than the rig supplied.

Instead of making up a transistor switch, I used an FET instead, requires no separate DC power, and fits in the cable.

I'm sure it must have been done before, very simple and effective though.
