 Yaesu FT-707S
Hi all I have a Yaesu FT-707S 10W hf set that has no output power. Would anyone know what the main power transistor and drive transistors it has. I can not find a service manual anywhere on the net for it.
If someone had a pdf of the service manual or a link where I could down load it from please let me know. Mark 2w0jmk

 Re: Yaesu FT-707S
I have a funny feeling that the FT707 PA is the same as FT77 PA, but I could be wrong. Bottom of this page. https://pa0fri.home.xs4all.nl/Mods/FT77 ... modeng.htm

 Re: Yaesu FT-707S
Apologies if I'm trying to teach a granny to suck eggs but if the radio is new to you check that the link on the two 'spare' connectors on the power cable plug is there. I've heard of PA problems that were just down to that

 Re: Yaesu FT-707S
GM0ONX thank you so much for the info. It worked the set was given to me and the old owner said it had not been used for about 6 years and he had fitted a new cable to the power plug before putting it by.
So the wire link onto the two unused pins did the trick and now had a qso with S57DX on 20m.
Thank you once more. Mark 2w0jmk
