Need a person to service/repair old receivers
I'm afraid I must admit to being cack-handed and pretty incompetent at construction despite nevertheless having a go sometimes for the craic. But I have two old receivers that need attention, a CR70A and a FRG7. I'd really like to get them going again but would be much happier paying someone competent to investigate and repair than trying myself and probably ruining them. The CR70A is a sentimental throwback to my listening days, the FRG7 sort of the same. Can anyone recommend someone that can help me? Preferably not too distant from the Wellingborough/Northampton area as I definitely do not want to trust a courier! Thanks

Best to only allow someone who knows them look at the FRG7.
They use a Wadley loop, and are different to set up. It is easy for some one who doesn't know them to make them worse. Personally, I think they are more fussy than the XCR-30. They also need better test equipment than a normal superhet.
