Post Toko coils clarification wanted
Toko coils have pins 123, 46. Pin 5 is not fitted.

I seem to have got conflicting evidence which is confusing me about which is the primary and which the secondary coils.
If i want to short the primary coil which
Pins do i short?and which pins to short the secondary?

Thanks

Toko 10K coils primary is the set of three pins and the secondary is the opposite two.
Middle pin is of course the centre tap, if it has one on the winding.

It depends on the coil type I'm used to using the 10k type, the KANKxxxxx but there loads of different versions.

Does this help? The data sheet?

And which pins would be known as the "low impedance" windings?

The secondary, two pins are usually around 600R - If they are standard 455KHz or 10.7MHz IF transformers and the primary can be anywhere between 20K and 60K Z.
