Post Interesting CW paddle
I spotted an interesting paddle being used by the guys on the Kenwood stand at Newark (but not for sale) and it didn't take me long to find the maker on the web. See attached.

The novel thing about it is the mechanism can be detached from the heavy base & used on its own when out /P ..... a bit like the Palm mini. I've had a palm mini for a while, and whilst you could stick it to a random chunk of metal its not the kind of thing I'd want to use at home really. It is very well made but it is so tiny there is a limit to what even german engineering can do.

Being slightly larger, the BaMaTech paddle mechanism is a lot nicer to use. Magnets instead of springs too.

I'm currently doing a review of it for the RAOTA magazine. Still in the 'honeymoon' period at the moment, but I've just finished my regular Sunday 2hour CW sked with GM3VMB and was as happy using this paddle as my usual 'full-size' paddle (a Kent) so it is looking promising.

Not cheap though. You're looking at a similar price to entry-level begali magnetic keys.

I finished a review of the paddle. I can't post PDF in here, so here is a link to it on my own website

I've no connection with the company, other than being a happy customer.
