Nice. I like Tim's kits but I do wish he'd at least OFFER proper cases.

Post Re: New RX kit
I was always put off as many of his kits are monoband 80m jobs unless you buy an optional mixer kit or change it to a rockbound rig .. I have had a few kits in the past but just fancied building a regen after obtaining a TT regen RX ...

The CW filter sounded nice, what is the width of it? and considering there was a contest on it stood up well on 20mtrs
How will you add the TX to it will you partition the bottom of the box and add it to the top, or will you make it as a complete separate unit!
Either way i look forward to seeing the complete unit.
Very nice indeed!
:-)

Post Re: New RX kit
Nothing in the manual apart from mentioning an audio filter so unsure , there is a 6 or 8 pole cw filter on e bay as kit form for ÂŁ17 if I remember correctly which I was going to grab for a future project ,I think they were around 400 mark ...

The tx is supposed to fit on the rear of the RX unit with holes etc already there for a relay etc but looking the matching TX is rockbound , seems a lot of work for something stuck to a very small bandwidth .. I had the GQRP clubs sudden line up which was good but again rockbound tx ..

You could add a varicap diode to the xtal that would give you a bit of extra freq pull?
I have been looking at the bitx unit for ssb that looks like an interesting project.
