Ofcom has agreed to the RSGB request to extend the 146/147MHz NoV for a further year. It is available on a non-interference basis and the NoV is subject to a 30-day notice period of change or withdrawal. Full licence holders can apply for the 146/147MHz NoV via the RSGB website https://rsgb.org/main/operating/licensi ... plication/ |

What will I be able to do on 146 that I can't do on 145MHz? |

m3bcd wrote: What will I be able to do on 146 that I can't do on 145MHz? The NoV requires a full licence. The band is available for experimentation, not - to quote Ofcom - more of the same. The main thrust is reduced bandwidth digital TV. Transmissions of up to up to 500kHz bandwidth, which wouldn't be appreciated in the main band. Cheers Tony |

If he/she had followed the link in the first post, it would have taken them to the full legal description of the NOV....! Evan |

The simple answer to the m3 post, Quote: What will I be able to do on 146 that I can't do on 145MHz? would have been..."Lots of stuff you can't do on 145 MHz, but probably nothing you would be interested in!" Irrespective of whether the person holds an undeclared full licence or not, it most likely would be very near the truth. |
