Post Excellent V/UHF conditions over the weekend
We had exceptional conditions on the V/UHF bands over the weekend, I had QSO’s from Cap Verdi in the west out to the OM/HA border in the east from SW Cornwall, EI3KD was copied on 70cms in D44 but no 2 way ensued.

Here’s a recording of G4LOH working CU on 2M FM, around 2200 kms

Sadly that path didn't make it inland to IO81, I could see Cornish station working the D4 but nil up here.

Condx still good though, lots of stations from central Europe in on tropo, best for me was an OE in JN77 on SSB. Seemed like there was an OE contest on which helped activity.

It was pretty good here, not quite as good as further South and West but still pretty good.

My PC was very pleased to work OM5KM in JN87 on 432Mhz for a new one..and a whole bundle of OK/OM/OE on 144Mhz.

I worked about 25 OK/OM/OE on ssb as well, but very little on cw.

Best here on 144 was CU3EQ in HM68 @2266kms and out to the east SP7QJF in KO10 @ 1849kms

Best on 432 was OM5KM@1607kms

Frustration of the opening was calling OK2KJI in JN99 on 432Mhz for an eternity and not being heard !

I am too far north for openings like this but got a few F stations on Saturday afternoon,

Was heard in Spain which was good for me,

Wasn't on Sunday which seemed to be better,
