Vertical or Dipole?

Vertical: at 40ft the dipole is too low to be useful for DX 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Vertical: because it has the lower take-off angle 19%  19%  [ 5 ]
Vertical with a good radial system: it improves the efficiency and lowers the take-off angle 58%  58%  [ 15 ]
Dipole: even if the vertical does have a good radial system 23%  23%  [ 6 ]

understood steve, thats why i think people are liking the new section so much. with your knowledge and figures to back it up it gives us mere mortals a better insight to a few of the many myths .

i like many others will have antenna books and notes ect that can be looked up when needed but its nice to see how we get on just digging around the old grey cells..

im not to sure if my soil is actually soil as i keep digging for worms to go fishing and have only ever found one or two.. unless there all joyriding in those jeeps :lol:
