I've taken an interest in 80m and 40m antennas that are neither the usual horizontal or vertical but a bit sloped. I can find the usual patterns but is there a book or internet link that shows worked examples of, for example a 40m dipole, a quarter wave high and one tip yet near ground at other tip. Cliff.

The ARRL Antenna Book has a chapter on "slopers" which includes some radiation patterns. But this is something it would be very easy to model using, for example, the free version of EZNEC; that way you can get the patterns for whatever configuration you choose.

Thank you for the reply Steve, I'm shy of EZNEC and my ARRL Ae book is an older edition but " sloper " produced some information on the net and then I started to discover delta loops. Some of these articles have EZNEC patterns, so I will follow that investigation for a bit. I've not a lot of space to experiment with, so options are limited. Thanks again. Cliff.
