Eznec tutorials
Hi Steve,
I have started to work my way through your Eznec tutorials and find them really useful, Thanks. Would it be possible to add one concerning traps and inductors.

Re: Eznec tutorials
Anyone else interested ?
Any particular theme: trapped dipole; loaded dipole; loaded vertical ?

Re: Eznec tutorials
Agreed, very handy. Nice way of getting people to look at things differently too. Well worth the effort

73, Steve G3TXQ I would be interested in modeling my mulitrap dipole. It has two elements, one a 12m trap and 17m. The other with traps for for 10, 15, 20 and 40 with 80m on the end. If modeling the two elements is too difficult then just modeling the 10-08 sect56n 5s f5ne.

Re: Eznec tutorials
OK folks - I 'll try to work up something this week. I'll probably make it a simple 2-band trap dipole - once you understand the principles it'll be easy for you to extend it to something more complicated.

Re: Eznec tutorials
I've just posted a new EZNEC tutorial on the use of Loads to create a 2-band trap dipole. viewtopic.php?f=46&t=19374Hope it's clear and that it's useful. 73, Steve G3TXQ

Thanks Steve, you're doing it just in time for me to build a better antenna.

Re: Eznec tutorials
Thanks for the tutorials Steve. New stuff to me and it's a lot easier when someone shows you how. I'm fairly new to the hobby (Intermediate exam in 3 weeks' time though ) and since the better weather is coming I can use this to help plan an antenna or 2 to suit my garden (and neighbours).

EZNEC antenna software now free The EZNEC antenna modelling software by Roy Lewallen W7EL is now available for free download The software is available from https://eznec.com/In 2021 Roy W7EL gave a presentation about EZNEC to the G-QRP club Virtual Convention.
