ive got a faulty diamond x50 up so im going to replace it with a v2000 tri band vertical instead 2, 6, 70cms

is there a big difference in the diamond version compared to the sharmans one ?

theres a big difference in price

anyone used both or either can help ?

Never examined them side by side, the difference will be in the detail, fittings materials and coatings.
My Diamond V2000 has been up for years, I would splash out the difference in £ personally

I purchased a Sharmans V2000 a few months back but immediately replaced it with a Comet GP15N. The Sharmans had an okay match on 6m but was 2:1 SWR on 2m and there is no ability to tune on 2m so I deemed it unsuitable.

I won't buy Sharmans again and will pay the little extra for a Japanese made antenna.

What he said, as long as it is an genuine DIAMOND, and not a Chinky rip off DLAMOND copy, there are plenty kicking about!
I have a few Diamond antennas, had them for many years, various mobile types, and fixed, all sorts of bands covered, and they all still perform as good as the day purchased, well worth the cost.

I had a diamond v2000 up for well over 20 years, only had it took down to replace the coax and replaced it with a new one, unless something happens to it it should out live me.

Several Folk have modified these antennas by replacing the 3 radials with 1/4 waves at 6 Metres. They report increased performance on the 3 bands, especially 6M.
I did the mod. to a V2000 of unknown manufacture, but only tested the SWR mounted on a tripod, so can't report on the performance.

My Diamond has been up for nearly 30 years, still 1:1 on all 3 bands, and works a treat.
Only maintenance I've ever had to do is replace the wire on the chimney lashing bracket.
