RG213 - N Type connector shrouds ? Boots ? or whatever you call them.

Where the heck do you get them from. Need about 6. Preferably easily purchased.

Do a Google search for Electrical Gland Boot 20mm.

I am guessing at size. Any decent electrical supply place should have them.

We spent part of this afternoon searching for them. Thats the problem with the internet, you need to know what others have named things as.

Thanks, as the in-house antenna guru, I have the envious task of building cable assemblies for customers requirements.
Glad I only work two days a week now, does my head in. So in the morning they can finally sort out wether we buy some in or get the parts for
me to assemble the leads.

Thanks one again.

Phil have you tried eBay armour cable gland covers ?
I am guessing gland covers for 4 or 6 should do it.

Personally, self amalgamating tape and heatshrink does it !

Same here, push over rubberised "boots" however tight fitting they seem, are no where near as waterproof as a good tight wrap self amalgamating tape, and a bit of protective over that heat shrink. :)

These unfortunately get assembled for customers, AIS receive stations. Most can barely attach the correct connector to the antenna.
A few come back obviously having had a PL259 shoved where a N type was supposed to go. Not sure why either as its an N type
fitted to the cable. So self amalgamating tape would be fun.

Thanks all.

They have enough orders for the damn things to keep me busy till I retire in a little under two years, already only doing two days a week.
Today I have been assembling 10mtr lengths of RG59, 1x BNC and 1x PL259. amongst other things.
