I have in the loft another hex,

this one is an original G3TXQ.

so what I am asking is what wire would you choose to redo the elements with?

14# or 16# SWG pvc coated tined copper wire.

I just fancy rebuilding it back to its former self and if not used at home someone could end up with a nice Antenna, I can't bare to see it just sit in my pile of radio antennas etc,
