Hi simon

I would say any of the diamond or comet range of colinear would sort you out …depending on budget .

Probably best to avoid moonraker from what I hear …but never used that brand myself.

Maybe get a quote from a TV aerial installer to carry out the work

Sometimes there maybe someone at a local club who may help ??

Cheers
Steve

I have heard good reports of the Diamond X50 dual band 2m/70cm vertical.

I too would advise you to contact a local TV aerial installer.

The "DX Shop" sell a large range of coax and will professionally fit the plugs on for you. I would recommend "N" types for VHF/UHF and a good quality coax such as the German made (double screened) Ecoflex 10. I changed out all my coax to Ecoflex 10 and had the DX Shop fit the plugs.

Prior to getting the antenna installed, it would be worth just checking it out at low height to make sure the swr is low on both 2m and 70cm.

For long life, make sure the installer uses self amalgamating tape where the N type (or PL259) connects to the antenna socket.
