Can anyone tell me the antenna losses associated with these three on 40m.
G5RV
G5RV 1/2 Size
ZS6BKW
All require to be fed by 30 mtrs of RG213.

I know the coax loss.
Looking on your site Steve you have the G5RV losses on 40 at 1.9Db, so just wonder how the other two compare.

hello kev

i cannot specify the losses, but the g5rv as usually built is resonant only on 20 meters. the zs6bkw is resonant on 6 bands including 40 meters and therefore the losses must be less, minimal with rg213. the 1/2 size 5rv is nbg on 40.

Hi Kev,
If you’re interested, then my last two appends in this link shows you the resonant frequencies of my ZS6BKW.

I have to say, I'm impressed with its performance.

G5RV: Ladderline loss = 0.1dB, RG213 loss = 1.2dB
G5RV (1/2 size): Ladderline loss = 0.3dB, RG213 loss = 1.4dB
ZS6BKW: Ladderline loss = 0.1dB, RG213 loss = 0.5dB
