ATAS-100
Hi all.Is there anyone on wirral that uses a atas-100/120a.I need to check if my 100 is working ok.Any offers to try on your system gratefully accepted.Many thanks.Stu.

Hi.Thanks for reply.I mounted it on the back of the car were previously i had a 120a,it does absolutely nothing.Wont go up or down even on the raise lower switches,so wanted to try a proven installation if possible before dismantling.Anyone else.?Stu.

Hi Stu.
Have you tried it powered from a psu. Between 5and 8 volts goes down. 10 to 14 volts goes up. If It does nothing then it is possibly the board inside which is faulty. you can still get from yaesu.
I would try that first. I am in Liverpool and if need I can meet you somewhere and u can try it on mine.

Is it even making the motor hum sound associated with trying to initiate?

I know the 857 & 897 needs the menu adjusted to activate an ATAS and I'm assuming the FT-100 does likewise.....have you done that?
Edit: apparently it's menu item 61

Many thanks to G1LOV who went out of his way to help with the atas-100.Unfortuneatly,it proved to be faulty.Who said the old ham spirit was dead?Not in G1LOVs case.Thanks again.Stu.

It's normally either; broken plastic spacers, gearbox, or water ingress.
