Post Mini Beam
I have restricted space and dont want to upset the neigbours so I am looking to buy a mini beam, advice would be appreciated, I also have been looking at the Dual Beam Pro, HF-5B Butternut and the TGM hybrid's.

Hexbeam is around the same size but not as much shiny aluminium in your face so should be less conspicuous especially on a sunny day.

The Dual Beam Pro is not a beam - it has no gain over a dipole and zero front to back ratio,

The other two are genuine beams, but hold their performance over only a narrow bandwidth - particularly on 20m. I can tell you from experience that the HF5B is a bit tricky to set up.

my first hf antenna was the tgm 36r & yes it worked but narrow bandwidth on 20mtrs & 10 was even worse & very little f/b .
the ma5b is properly a better antenna frank .
