Perhaps they can't find the place? Cross Lane was in Earlestown the last time I was there. ''Newton-le-Willows'' does sound posher though, doesn't it? Posher than ''Newton-in Makerfield'' too

It reels off the history and all the industry and companies that where once here and for modern day it says 'a number of buses now run through the town' When you think of all the companies there where for such a small town and now there is nothing it's disgusting. That said don't suppose it's any different from many places up and down the country.
