Cross Lane was in Earlestown the last time I was there. ''Newton-le-Willows'' does sound posher though, doesn't it?

Earlestown is the opposite side of Market street Heading down to Emmit's brew
Born and raised there :D

I remember when Newton was part of the Cheshire set - then some bugger put an optibeam up and lowered the tone of the place :D :D

Have you ever read the info section on Newton on the Council website. It reels off the history and all the industry and companies that where once here and for modern day it says 'a number of buses now run through the town' :shock: When you think of all the companies there where for such a small town and now there is nothing it's disgusting. That said don't suppose it's any different from many places up and down the country.
