Post IC-7700 panadapter?
Does anyone use an IC-7700 and a dongle as a panadapter? If so, could you drop me a PM.
Many thanks!

I use an RTL v3 with my 870, using sdrsharp, hdsdr and omni rig, and the 7700 is listed.

These are the links, but you'll deffo have to trial and error it, to get it going...

https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/

http://hdsdr.de/index.html

http://dxatlas.com/OmniRig/

Advice - Get sdrsharp going first using the quickstart guide, then set up hdsdr using the guide, then omni rig.....then with lots of fiddling, I got mine going...

Good luck!! :good:

Post Re: IC-7700 panadapter?
Thanks Paul.

I used a Funcube Pro+ with my FTDX5000 and it gave great results as a panadapter (with Omnirig, HDSDR & Log4OM).
I thought it would be a fairly straight forward setup with the IC-7700, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
The IC-7700 just doesn't 'see' the Funcube (or vice a versa). I can't find any info on the IF output socket on the IC-7700 and confirm if it works in the same way as the IF output socket on the FTDX5000.
Puzzled....

I couldn't get it going with the if out, ended up using the receive antenna socket instead. Covers 2.5mhz of bandwidth...maybe that's an option for you? Will have another go at the if at some point, see if there's any difference. :)
